Fun fact, a large number of designs on the Five Stem Adjacent Multiloop Lab had a Guanine in the third position of the sequence.

Perhaps you can analyze that data for us Nando!

I found this post very interesting. Perhaps this is part reason for the G-pattern. (Which basically is a G at first spot in each strand.)
